Holy Thursday Mass is liturgically rich. It recalls the Last Supper, Jesus washing the feet of His disciples (which often is reenacted after the homily during this Mass), the presentation of blessed oils which were received from our bishop earlier in the week and, most notably, the Institution of the priesthood and establishment of the Most Holy Eucharist. This is the last Mass celebrated before Easter Sunday. Following the celebration of the Eucharist, the altar is stripped and the Eucharist is processed out of the church into a designated offsite repository. Here at St. Mark we will use the Social Hall. Adoration will take place inside of the Social Hall until 10:00 PM.
